Rep. Anne Ruwet helps secure public-private partnership grant for Behavioral Health Center at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital to fight child homelessness |

State Rep. Anne Ruwet (R-Torrington) is pleased to announce a $25,000 public-private partnership grant to be used to fight child homelessness. The grant, offered by the Melville Charitable Trust, will be awarded to the Behavioral Health Center at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.
Rep. Ruwet, as a member of the legislature’s Select Committee on Children, has been working on securing funding to fight homelessness among our children and families for the last several years .
“Our children are among our most valuable assets as a community, and through generosity and hard work, we can hopefully make strides in ending homelessness among our youth,” said Rep. Ruwet. “I would like to thank all those at Charlotte Hungerford and those who helped bring this funding to fruition.”
Rep. Ruwet wishes to thank Rep. Christel Truglia (D-Stamford), the Department of Social Services and the Commission on Children for their support of this cause.
