Rep. Anne Ruwet to participate in Earth Day, river clean-up activities |

State Rep. Anne Ruwet (R-Torrington) is pleased to announce that she will be participating in the Earth Day cleanup in Coe Park, scheduled for Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On June 7, also from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Rep. Ruwet will participate in a Naugatuck River clean-up effort, thanks to the organizational efforts of the Torrington Conservation Commission. The river clean-up will commence at 9 a.m. at the Sullivan Senior Center, located at 88 East Albert St. in Torrington.
“Torrington is fortunate to have many natural treasures that add to our city’s natural beauty, including Coe Park and the Naugatuck River,” said Rep. Ruwet. “It is heartening to know that Torrington residents care so much about the sites and places that our city what it is for our residents. I’d like to thank all those who helped organize these clean-up activities, as well as encourage anyone interested in helping out to volunteer to do so.”
