Rep. Anne Ruwet honored with pair of awards

State Rep. Anne Ruwet (R-Torrington) has been recognized for her legislative accomplishments by two Connecticut organizations.

Rep. Ruwet received a legislative award from the Connecticut Association of Nonprofits at its annual conference at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cromwell on Nov. 7.  Also, Rep. Ruwet was named legislator of the year for her efforts to raise the awareness and stature of agriculture in the state by the Connecticut Farm Bureau at the group’s annual meeting on Nov. 9.

“I am honored to be recognized by both the Connecticut Association of Nonprofits and the Connecticut Farm Bureau for my work in the legislature on behalf of my constituents,” said Rep. Ruwet. “Though we have accomplished many good things in Hartford, there is still more work to be done, and I am looking forward to taking on that challenge.”
