House Republican Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr. announced today that state Rep. Anne Ruwet has once again been appointed to the Select Committee on Children, as well as the Finance, Revenue & Bonding Committee and the Education Committee for the 2007-08 legislative sessions.

Rep. Ruwet, now in her third term in the Legislature representing the 65th District in Torrington, said she is pleased that Minority Leader Cafero has appointed her to such critical committees that will enable her to continue to ably serve her constituents of the 65th District.

“I am very pleased to once again be able to serve on the Select Committee on Children, and to be able to continue working on issues that I feel passionately about,” said Rep. Ruwet after attending Gov. M. Jodi Rell’s inauguration ceremonies in Hartford. “I am also looking forward to serving on the Finance and Education Committees, where I can make an impact on some really important, weighty issues facing our district and our state.”
