State Representative T.R. Rowe, R-Trumbull today announced that Jack Testani, of Trumbull has been appointed to serve as a member of the Connecticut Student Loan Foundation (CSLF) Board of Directors. Testani was appointed by State House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr. (R-Norwalk) at the recommendation of Rep. Rowe.

The CSLF created in 1965 to improve educational opportunity by guaranteeing higher education loans for eligible students. As a non-profit student loan organization, it is authorized to make and acquire student loans and provide appropriate administrative services. It acts as the guarantee agency for the Federal Family Education Loan Program, which makes educational loans available through eligible lenders.

Testani is currently employed as Senior New Business Director for ICON International, of Stamford, which is a division of a Fortune 500 company. He has been chosen top performer of the year in sales and is responsible for several million dollars of net profit and new accounts. He also served as an account executive for Oxford Health Plans Inc, of Trumbull, and has served as an elected member of Trumbull’s Board of Finance.

"I was very pleased when Jack indicated his interest in joining the CSLF,” said Rep. Rowe.  “We need good people like Jack on the Foundation, and I was delighted to recommend him for a position on the Board of Directors."
