Rep. Rowe Secures State Grant For Trumbull Senior Center

State Rep. T.R. Rowe, R-Trumbull, has secured a $10,000 grant for the Trumbull Senior Center. The funds were supplied by the State Office of Policy and Management.

The $10,000 grant for the senior center will be used to purchase chairs, a countertop, projector and computers to create a recreational technology center at the Pricilla Place facility. The town has also secured a small cities grant and is making major renovations to the facility.

“We are looking to create a media room where the senior citizens can have a place to use the computers and have someone teach them how to use the computers,” said Liz Smith, executive assistant to the First Selectman. “They are our most valued citizens and we want to do all we can to help them so it was very exciting for us to receive the $10,000 for this room.”

“I am delighted that we were able to secure this grant for Trumbull's seniors,” said Rep. Rowe.  “These seniors have given so much to our community over the years, and it is always nice when we can repay them in some fashion.”
