Police Chiefs Honor Rep. Rowe

State Rep. T.R. Rowe, R-123rd, Trumbull, has been honored by the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association for his efforts on behalf of law enforcement in the state of Connecticut. Rep. Rowe was given the association’s 2005 Legislative Award.

In selecting him for the award, the organization described Rep. Rowe as “an outstanding advocate for law enforcement and a leader of anti-crime legislation.”

“He has consistently supported the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association on a number of issues since 1998,” the association said in a statement. Rowe has served as a member of the legislature’s Judiciary committee since then, and also is co-chairman of the legislature’s Regulations Review Committee.

The group also praised Rep. Rowe’s effort to integrate training requirements for police officers who may have received different training outside of Connecticut.

Rep. Rowe accepted the honor at the association’s recent meeting in Orange, CT.

Rep. Rowe was first elected to the state House of Representatives from the 123rd Assembly District of Trumbull in 1998. He is a member of the legislature’s Select Committee on Housing, a member of the Judiciary Committee and co-chair of the Regulations Review Committee.
