Perillo Addresses Daughters of the American Revolution on Environment

 

HARTFORD- State Representative Jason Perillo (R-113) was invited to a monthly meeting of  Shelton’s Sara Riggs Humphreys Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution last Saturday, April 12th, at the Shelton Community Center to address issues at the State Capitol, particularly environmental issues.

 

Representative Perillo discussed pending legislation on the “Bottle Bill” as well as river front protection measures important to Shelton.  There was also an extensive question and answer period.

 

“I am always delighted to spend time with groups such as the Daughter of the American Revolution, who take great care and pride in preserving our history, heritage and culture,” said Perillo. “I appreciate their kind invitation and hope I am able to visit with them again soon.

 

The Daughters of the American Revolution perpetuates the memory and spirit of the men and women who won American independence.  The group also helps maintain historic state properties.  Any woman over 18 who can prove an ancestor served in the American Revolution is a prospective member.
