REPRESENTATIVE O’NEILL ACHIEVES 100 PERCENT VOTING RECORD IN STATE LEGISLATURE |

Hartford—According to records released by the clerk of the House of Representatives, State Representative Arthur J. O’Neill, R-Southbury, achieved a 100 percent voting record in the General Assembly in 2008. According to the House Clerks Office summary, Rep O’Neill is one of only 18 House lawmakers to vote on all 300 bills before the House of Representatives during the 2008 legislative sessions. There are 151 members in the state House of Representatives.
The 2008 session marks the second consecutive year Rep. O’Neill maintained a perfect voting record on the House Floor.
“My constituents are very diligent about voting on election day, having set state records for turnout more than once,” said Rep. O’Neill. “I’ve always believed it is my duty to be equally diligent about voting on their behalf to ensure their interests are well-represented at the State Capitol.”
Representative O’Neill serves as Ranking Member (House Republican Leader) of the Legislature’s Judiciary Committee. He also serves as a member of the Appropriations Committee, Banks Committee and Regulations Review Committee. He represents the 69th House District, which is comprised of Bridgewater, Roxbury, Washington and the majority of Southbury.
