Hartford—According to records released by the clerk of the House of Representatives, State Representative Arthur J. O’Neill, R-Southbury, achieved a 100 percent voting record in the General Assembly in 2007. The Legislature concluded its business for the year on December 5, after holding an ongoing special session since the regular legislative session adjourned in June.

According to the House Clerks Office summary, Rep. O’Neill is one of only 14 House lawmakers to vote on all 420 bills before the House of Representatives during the 2007 legislative sessions. There are 151 members in the state House of Representatives.

“I believe my constituents expect me to work diligently on their behalf and be their voice in the House of Representatives,” said Rep. O’Neill. “I will continue to strive to do the best job possible for the people of Bridgewater, Roxbury, Southbury and Washington.”

Representative O’Neill serves as Ranking Member (House Republican Leader) of the Legislature’s Judiciary Committee and as a member of the Appropriations, Banks and Regulations Review Committees. He represents the majority of Southbury and all of Bridgewater, Roxbury and Washington in the House of Representatives.
