Visit the Connecticut Digital Library |

By State Representative Themis Klarides
Deputy Republican Leader
The state of Connecticut has a terrific service available to all state residents who have a local library card.
You can search journals, magazines, newspapers, business and health information and other resources free of charge by visiting iconn.org on the Internet.
While tables, pictures, charts and graphs are not available from these databases, you can coordinate with area libraries to get a microfiche version of the original paper.
With the iConn Digital Library you will have hundreds of periodicals, newspapers, magazines and other publications at your fingertips in moments.
You can also find the book you are looking for at any of the libraries across Connecticut. If you want to know what library owns a particular book, magazine or periodical choose any or all the databases under the reQuest Statewide Library Catalogs and Library Catalogs Not in reQuest.
The iConn project began in 2000 when the Connecticut General Assembly approved funding for a project recommended by then-Lt. Governor Jodi Rell. As part of the Connecticut Education Network, it is administered by the Connecticut State Library in conjunction with the Department of Education.
The iConn Digital Library is a pioneering convenience. It is the only feature of its kind available from any state in the United States.
Log on today to iconn.org, the Connecticut Digital Library and check it out!
