LAWMAKERS SECURE $175,000 IN FUNDING FOR TOWN OF ORANGE LIGHTING PROJECT |

Reps. Klarides and Davis Working Together For Town Funding
State Representatives Themis Klarides (R-114th) and Paul Davis (D-117th District) are pleased the state Bond Commission today approved a $175,000 grant for the Town of Orange for the design and installation of lighting along Boston Post Road.
“The funds for this lighting project along Boston Post R oad are critical,” Rep.Themis Klarides (R-114th District) said. “I appreciate Governor Rell continuing to make the community of Orange a priority through appropriating these STEAP Funds.”
“I welcome the state Bond Commission’s approval of this $175,000 in funding for this lighting project in Orange,” Rep. Davis said. “I appreciate working with our First Selectman and our town’s economic department to help secure this grant. The project represents both public safety and economic improvements for our community.”
The grant will help pay for acquisition and lighting along the Boston Post Road. The project has been embraced by area businesses and residents.
