Rep. Kalinowski Named to Leadership Position on Legislature’s Public Safety Committee |

State Rep. Raymond C. Kalinowski, R-100th, Middletown, Middlefield, Durham, a former U.S. Secret Service agent, will assume the ranking member position on the legislature’s Public Safety and Security Committee for the next two years. He will play a key role in issues involving law enforcement and homeland security.
Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero, Jr., appointed Rep. Kalinowski to the important committee assignment. Rep. Cafero said, “Ray Kalinowski is one of the most knowledgeable legislators when it comes to protecting the safety of Connecticut families, senior citizens and children. He will work especially hard in maintaining and improving law enforcement and homeland security.
Rep. Kalinowski said, “It is an honor to serve in this critical role that affects every citizen of the state. These uncertain times require an increased professionalism in advancing our law enforcement interests and improving our security posture. I look forward to working with a team of state, federal and local officials having that vital responsibility.”
Rep. Kalinowski serves the 100th Assembly District of Middletown, Middlefield and Durham.
