REP. HOVEY: MONROE RESIDENT APPOINTED TO STATE PANEL |

State Representative DebraLee Hovey (R-Monroe, Newtown) today announced that J.P. Sredzinski, of Monroe, has been appointed to serve on the Connecticut Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board. Sredzinski was appointed by State House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr. (R-Norwalk) at the recommendation of Rep. Hovey.
The advisory board assists in coordinating efforts of the state’s emergency medical service system and provides advice on the development of the system. It also provides an annual report to the Department of Public Health and makes recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly concerning legislation that would improve the delivery of emergency medical services.
Sredzinksi has served as dispatch supervisor of the Southwest Regional Communications Center in Bridgeport since July 2003. In the position, he supervises a staff of 15 and works with area hospitals to create emergency plans. Prior to serving as supervisor, he served for four years as public safety telecommunicator at the facility.
“It is great news that J.P. will be serving on the advisory board,” said Rep. Hovey. “He brings a wealth of public safety and emergency services experience to this position that will ultimately benefit citizens throughout the state. I am thankful to Representative Cafero for making this appointment.”
