Rep. Hovey Reappointed to Connecticut Student Loan Foundation Board of Directors |

State Representative DebraLee Hovey, R-112th District, has been reappointed to the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Student Loan Foundation by House Minority Leader Robert M. Ward, R-Northford.
“Representative Hovey has served with distinction on the Connecticut Student Loan Foundation’s Board of Directors since I originally appointed her in 2003. I am confident that with her background and experience in education, she will continue to be a valued member of this important panel,” Rep. Ward
“With employers throughout Connecticut actively trying to recruit college graduates – especially those with degrees in mathematics, engineering, science and other technological skills – the student loan foundation will continue to play an important role in providing a steady stream of graduates to meet their needs. I look forward to another two years on the foundation’s Board of Directors and to helping ensure that every Connecticut student who wants a college education has the means to obtain one,” Representative Hovey said
“I hope that your service in this position will continue to be challenging and satisfying. I know that the talent and expertise you bring to it will be of great value and service to our state and its citizens,” Representative Ward said in a letter to Representative Hovey informing her of her reappointment. “On behalf of the people of Connecticut, please accept my thanks for your willingness to once again accept the challenge of public service and my congratulations on your reappointment to this important post.”
As House Minority Leader, Representative Ward is responsible under the law that established the Connecticut Student Loan Foundation for naming one member to the board from the state House of Representatives.
