REP. HETHERINGTON LAUDS HIGH SCHOOL AND TOWN OFFICIALS FOR ENERGY AWARD |

State Representative John Hetherington, R.-125th, praised New Canaan town and high school officials, including the building committee, on receiving an award of $287,000 in recognition of energy efficient programs adopted during renovation.
The recognition comes from the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund and Connecticut Light and Power Company.
"Our local leaders have not only saved energy, but they have set an excellent example for students," Hetherington commented, "They show our schools practice what they teach."
Representative Hetherington particularly hailed H. Richard Seltzer, chairman of the New Canaan Utility Commission, who originally made the contact with CL&P and the CEEC that led to the successful energy plan for the high school. "Good for Dick," he concluded, "Dick obviously knows his business and has achieved a major win for New Canaan."
Rep. Hetherington represents most of New Canaan and a part of Wilton.
