Rep. Harkins Achieves Perfect Voting, Attendance Record |

State Representative John Harkins (R-Stratford) achieved a perfect voting and attendance record in the state House of Representatives for the 2006 Legislative Sessions, according to records compiled by the clerk of the House of Representatives.
According to a statistical summary released by the General Assembly’s House Clerks Office, Rep. Harkins voted on all 321 bills called for a vote in the House of Representatives during the 2006 legislative session. He is one of only 21 lawmakers to vote on every bill before the House this session. There are 151 members in the state House of Representatives.
“It has always been an incredible honor and privilege to serve the people of Stratford,” said Rep. Harkins, who also serves as an Assistant House Minority Leader. “One of the most important duties of the job is ensuring my district and constituents are represented during as many votes as possible. I am thankful I was able to record a 100 percent voting record again this year.”
Rep. Harkins’ 100 percent attendance record also reflects his commitment to his committee work. He maintains an excellent attendance record as a member of the Legislature’s Transportation Committee, Insurance and Real Estate Committee and Banks Committee.
