PUBLIC STATEMENT

Dear Friends and Neighbors in Beacon Falls, Seymour and Ansonia,

I wanted to let you know that I will not be seeking re-election to represent the 105th District in the Connecticut House of Representatives this November.

It has been the greatest honor I have ever known to have had the privilege of representing you, and the communities I love, in the General Assembly. Please know that I am and will be forever grateful to you for the support and encouragement that you have given to me as your state representative.

You have all given me an extraordinary and fulfilling opportunity to serve. I look back with pride at being able to have garnered state support for key projects in our towns, for being your voice of plain common sense in Hartford, and most importantly to have been able to provide assistance to hundreds of residents over the years.

I had decided after the 2006 elections that this would be my last term. Having had the opportunity to serve for 12 years, I thought quite simply that this was the right time to move on to other personal and professional endeavors. However, please know that I will continue to contribute in whatever way I can to the betterment of our community.

With my deepest appreciation,

Rep. Leonard C. Greene
