Giuliano Urges Residents Properly Discard Unwanted Medication

Shoreline residents have an opportunity to discard unwanted medications Saturday, September 20, at the Connecticut Water Company’s Shoreline regional office at 93 West Main Street (Route 1) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

State Rep. Marilyn Giuliano, R-23rd District, Old Saybrook, said, “There is growing concern about pharmaceuticals entering drinking water systems across the United States. He is a chance to properly discard unwanted medications right here in our area, so that they do not end up in the ground water.”

The program is open to residents of Connecticut Water services towns including Chester, Clinton, Deep River, Essex, Griswold, Guilford, Madison, Stonington (Masons Island), Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Voluntown and Westbrook.
