Rep. Giuliano Announces $1.85 Million for Shoreline Projects

 

State Rep. Marilyn Giuliano, R-23, Old Lyme, Lyme, Old Saybrook, Westbrook, voted to authorize state funding for Shoreline programs and projects to receive state funding under legislation adopted today by the state House and Senate.

The funding totals more than $1.85 million, and includes:

·        Grant-in-aid to Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in Old Lyme for infrastructure improvements not exceeding $250,000

·        Grant-in-aid to the Lyme Art Association for renovation to its gallery building in Old Lyme not exceeding $100,000

·        Grant-in-aid to the town of Westbrook for a new town garage not exceeding $1.5 million.

Last week, Rep. Giuliano announced a $200,000 state historic preservation grant for the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center and Theater in Old Saybrook, which was presented by Karen Senich, executive director of the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism.

Marilyn Giuliano serves the 23rd Assembly District of Old Lyme, Lyme, Old Saybrook and Westbrook in the state House of Representatives.
