Rep. Giuliano to Hold Office Hours for Lyme, Old Lyme Constituents

Urges Residents to Share Concerns, Suggest Possible Legislation for 2007 General Assembly Session

State Representative Marilyn Giuliano, R-23rd District, will hold office hours for constituents on Saturday, October 21st in Old Lyme and Lyme.

Representative Giuliano will conduct office hours in Old Lyme at the Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library Community Room from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m., and at the Lyme Public Library Children’s Room from 10:45 a.m. until 12:00 noon. No appointments are necessary.

“The 2007 General Assembly session, which gets underway January 3rd and adjourns June 6th, lasts for five months, which gives us the time we need to research and develop legislative initiatives to address major issues facing the state,” Representative Giuliano said. “I always try to stay in touch with the citizens of the 23rd District throughout the year and holding office hours at convenient locations familiar to most residents enables me to visit with many constituents who otherwise might not be able to take time out of their busy days to contact me.”

“Lyme and Old Lyme residents are frequent library visitors – especially on Saturdays – and that’s why I scheduled office hours at both libraries in October. I base my legislative goals and priorities on the input I receive from constituents and I’d like to hear from as many of you as possible before the session convenes,” Representative Giuliano said. “If you’d like to share your thoughts with me on issues of importance to our towns or our state, please feel free to drop by the Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library or the Lyme Public Library on Saturday, October 21st.”
