REP. GIEGLER RE-ELECTED TO LEADERSHIP ROLE WITH NATIONAL ORGANIZATION |

State Representative Janice Giegler, R-138, was recently re-elected by her fellow state legislators to serve as a 2008 Connecticut State Director with Women In Government at the organization’s regional conference in Lake George, NY. She is scheduled to be sworn in during a January ceremony. Rep. Giegler was first elected as state director in 2003.
Women In Government is a national 501(c)(3), non-profit, bi-partisan organization of women state legislators providing leadership opportunities, networking, expert forums, and educational resources to address and resolve complex public policy issues.
“Women In Government congratulates Janice Giegler in her re-election as state director,” said Susan Crosby, President of Women In Government. “State Directors play a critical role in setting policy priorities for our organization. Rep. Giegler is a recognized leader in her state, and we are excited that she will continue to share her leadership skills with other legislators throughout the country.”
“I am thrilled to be re-elected to continue in this position,” said Rep. Gielger. “Women In Government is a tremendous resource for public policy ideas and I look forward to bringing back initiatives that have worked in other states for consideration here in Connecticut.”
