Rep. Giegler Achieves Perfect Voting, Attendance Record

State Representative Janice Giegler, R-138, achieved a perfect voting and attendance record in the state House of Representatives for the 2006 Legislative Session, according to records compiled by the clerk of the House of Representatives.

According to a statistical summary recently released by the General Assembly’s House Clerks Office, Rep. Giegler is one of only 33 House lawmakers to record a 100 percent voting and attendance record during 2006 legislative session. There are 151 members in the state House of Representatives.

“If I'm not in Hartford representing my constituents when the Legislature is in session, I haven't followed through on my promise to be their voice in Hartford,” said Rep. Giegler, who was elected to her second term in November 2004. “I’m pleased I was able to post a 100 percent voting record this session on my district’s behalf.”

Rep. Giegler’s 100 percent attendance and voting record also parallels her commitment to her committee work. She maintains an excellent attendance record as a member of the Legislature’s Public Health Committee, Judiciary Committee and Commerce Committee.
