Rep. Giegler Elected to Leadership Role with National Organization |

12th Annual State Directors Conference, Phoenix, AZ---State Representative Janice Giegler, R-138, has been elected by her fellow state legislators to serve as a 2006 Connecticut State Director with Women In Government at the organization’s regional conference in Phoenix, AZ on Thursday, January 5.
Women In Government is a national 501(c)(3), non-profit, bi-partisan organization of women state legislators providing leadership opportunities, networking, expert forums, and educational resources to address and resolve complex public policy issues.
“Having Janice Giegler serve as a state director is a wonderful addition to our program,” said Senator Beverly Hammerstrom, Board Chair for Women in Government. “Giegler is a recognized leader in her state, and we are excited that she will now share her leadership skills as a liaison between Connecticut and Women in Government.”
“State Directors assist in setting policy initiatives, through member recruitment and policy development. The Women In Government State Director Program is a network of women state legislators working together and exchanging best practices, to create realistic policy solutions for states,” said Susan Crosby, Women In Government President.
