Rep. Floren and Rep. Powers are Featured Guests on Cablevision Channel 84’s “Meet the Leaders” Program

State Representative Livvy R. Floren, R-149^th District and State Representative Claudia “Dolly” Powers, R-151^st District with Moderator Andy Mais will discuss several issues of importance to Greenwich and Stamford and other Fairfield County communities on Cablevision Channel 84’s Meet The Leaders program this month.

Some of the issues to be discussed include the Republican Caucus initiatives- the Seniors' pensions’ exemption, Health care reform, and the First Time Home Buyers Fund. Other issues were Rep. Floren’s bills on the environment for open space and a proposed pesticide ban at middle and high schools. Rep. Powers’ talked about the State Budget which will be proposed this year and the Broadwater LNG proposed project in Long Island Sound. There was also talk about proposals to mitigate or repeal the estate tax.

Both Representative Floren and Representative Powers are leaders in the House Republican Caucus. Rep. Floren is an Assistant Republican Leader and Rep. Powers’ is the Deputy Republican Leader At Large.
