State Representative Kevin M. DelGobbo has been elected vice president of the Naugatuck Y. M. C. A. and re-elected to another three-year term on the organization’s Board of Directors.

The election took place at the Y. M. C. A.’s Annual Meeting and Award Ceremony Thursday, May 17th.

“I’m extremely honored and excited to continue serving with this dedicated volunteer board and with the Y. M. C. A.’s extraordinarily hard-working staff,” said Representative DelGobbo, R-Naugatuck. “The Naugatuck Y. M. C. A. is one of the most important local organizations serving our community.”

“This is a critical time for our Y. M. C. A. and I very much look forward to working under the leadership of Rebecca Zandvliet, who was elected to serve as the organization’s president for the next two years,” Representative DelGobbo said.

Representative DelGobbo has been a member of the Naugatuck Y. M. C. A. Board of Directors for the past eight years and an officer for the last five years. He also serves as co-chair of the Y. M. C. A. Capital Campaign, which has raised more than $2.3 million for a major renovation of the facility.
