Rep. DelGobbo Hosts Rebecca Zandvliet on “Legislative Talk” TV Program

NAUGATUCK—State Representative Kevin M. DelGobbo (R-70^th, Naugatuck) will host Rebecca Zandvliet, co-chair of the Naugatuck YMCA capital campaign, on DelGobbo’s monthly television program, “Legislative Talk”.

The program will be aired, Monday, March 6, 2006, at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 7, at 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, at 7:00 p.m., and Thursday, March 9 at 9:30 p.m. on Tele-Media’s cable channel 16.

Rep. DelGobbo said that they will discuss the proposed $2.4 million capital campaign and renovation of the Naugatuck YMCA. Both Ms. Zandvliet and Rep. DelGobbo serve as co-chairs of the capital campaign and as members of the Naugatuck YMCA board of directors.

More than 4,500 members and thousand of other Naugatuck residents make use of the YMCA facilities. “It is one of the strongest and most important institutions in Naugatuck,” said Rep. DelGobbo. Both Rep. DelGobbo and Ms. Zandvliet are part of the effort to undertake a major renovation of the YMCA including installing an elevator, significantly improving handicapped access, a new locker room, fitness center and improvements to the pool area.

Rep. DelGobbo produces the monthly television program, and Telemedia Company of Western Connecticut broadcasts it on its community access channel.

State Rep. Kevin DelGobbo serves the 70^th Assembly District of Naugatuck in the state House of Representatives. He is ranking member of the legislature’s Energy and Technology Committee, as well as a member of the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee as well as the Regulations Review Committee.
