Rep. DelGobbo Honored By Connecticut Sportsmen

State Rep. Kevin M. DelGobbo, R-70^th, Naugatuck, has received the 2005 Patriot Award from the Coalition of Connecticut Sportsmen for tenacity, integrity, courage and unwavering support of sportsmen’s issues.

In presenting the award, the coalition specifically cited his work to maintain constitutional rights and protect the environment, which benefit both sportsmen and the entire state.

The award states, “Your understanding, courage and dedicated commitment to constitutional rights and environmental issues have significantly benefited both the state and Connecticut sportsmen though the enhancement, preservation and continuation of our heritage and activities.”

Rep. DelGobbo received the award at the coalition’s annual meeting held Sunday, October 30, 2005 at the Aqua Turf in Southington.

Rep. DelGobbo serves the 70^th Assembly District of Naugatuck in the state House of Representatives. He is ranking member of the legislature’s Energy and Technology Committee, as well as a member of the Finance Revenue and Bonding Committee and the Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee and the Regulations Review Committee.

The Coalition of Connecticut Sportsmen is dedicated to the protection, promotion and preservation of hunting, fishing, trapping and scientific wildlife management programs.
