Sen. Crisco And Reps. Delgobbo And Labriola Announce Funding To Upgrade Fairchild Park In Naugatuck |

Hartford - Senator Joseph Crisco (D-Woodbridge) and Representatives Kevin M. DelGobbo (R-Naugatuck and David K. Labriola (R-Naugatuck) have announced $75,000 in funding to make improvements to Fairchild Park in Naugatuck. The State Bond Commission approved funding during a meeting today at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.
The funding will be used to renovate the athletic fields at Fairchild Park. That includes upgrading the baseball/softball fields with new fences and backstops. “The development of Fairchild Park has been on our wish list for several years, and because of the efforts of Senator Crisco it will now come to fruition,” said Gordon Rossi, the co-chair of the Naugatuck Park Department.
“I’ve been working for several years to improve the recreational facilities in Naugatuck, and I’m pleased this funding will clear the ways for renovations at Fairchild Park,” said Senator Crisco. “The improvements of this neighborhood park should have a positive impact for residents in the area.”
Representative DelGobbo said, “I think this is another step forward in the progress that we have made in recent years to improve all of our recreational facilities in the borough. I greatly appreciate Sen. Crisco’s efforts on this grant and Governor’s Rell support for Naugatuck.
Representative Labriola said, “Thanks to Joe Crisco and Governor Rell, Fairchild Park will be an even better park for our families. Growing up, I played little league baseball there, so this project is especially meaningful to me.”
