Rep. DelGobbo: High School Auditorium Receives $10,000 Grant

NAUGATUCK—State Representative Kevin M. DelGobbo (R-70th, Naugatuck) announced that the Naugatuck High School auditorium restoration project is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Connecticut Community Foundation at the recommendation of the Naugatuck Savings Bank.

“I am extremely grateful to the Connecticut Community Foundation and the Naugatuck Savings Bank, in particular its president, Mark Yanarella, for this generous donation,” said Rep. DelGobbo. “The restoration of this facility will be such a wonderful improvement for this community.”

Rep. DelGobbo serves with Charles Marenghi as cochairmen of the Davis High School Auditorium Restoration Committee, a group of citizens whose intention is to raise public and private funds that will be required for the auditorium restoration.

Rep. DelGobbo had previously secured a $300,000 state grant toward this restoration.

The committee anticipates that the first phase of the project, to include replacement of the auditorium’s seating, will be completed this fall.
