Bond Commission Formally Approves $300,000 for Naugatuck High School Auditorium |

HARTFORD—State Rep. Kevin M. DelGobbo (R-70th, Naugatuck) announced that the state Bond Commission, as expected, today approved a $300,000 state grant to help renovate Naugatuck High School’s Davis Auditorium.
The commission, chaired by Governor John G. Rowland, voted unanimously to provide the community development funds to assist in Phase I of renovations including new seating, restroom facilities, lighting, carpeting and stage work as well as remodeling restrooms.
Rep. DelGobbo thanked the governor and credited the entire Naugatuck legislative delegation for its strong support for the grant.
Rep. DelGobbo, a 1982 Naugatuck High School graduate, cochairs a group of Naugatuck residents formed to undertake a capital campaign for the auditorium restoration, the Davis Auditorium Restoration Committee (DARC).
