Kogut to Be Named Polish Mayor for the Day

NAUGATUCK—The Naugatuck Polish American Heritage Group will celebrate its annual Polish Heritage Day on Sunday, May 2, 2004, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Naugatuck Town Hall.

Henry Kogut will be honored as this year’s Polish Mayor for the Day. The event celebrates the contributions of Polish heritage to Western culture as well as to our community.

The event will include a flag-raising, as well as Polish music, food and refreshments. Naugatuck Police Commission Chairman Fran Dambowsky will be the keynote speaker.

State Rep. Kevin M. DelGobbo, who represents the 70^th Assembly District of Naugatuck in the state House of Representatives, will serve as master of ceremonies for Sunday’s event.
