Rep. Caron to Attend Legislative Conference |

State Rep. Michael Caron, R-44, Killingly, Plainfield, Sterling, will participate in the annual meeting of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) next week in Boston, exchanging information with lawmakers from other states.
“I’m looking forward to exchanging ideas with other states’ legislators on issues that are important to northeastern Connecticut and the entire state,” said Rep. Caron. “This is the first time I am attending, and I hope to discuss issues from energy to climate change to state tax policy at a time of budget surpluses.”
Legislators from all 50 states and from around the world will attend more than 200 NCSL policy sessions on pressing state policy issues including:
The 2007 Legislative Summit also is the venue for state lawmakers to affect policy in the nation’s capital. NCSL’s 11 Standing Committees will debate and vote on policy positions that will guide the organization’s advocacy on state legislatures’ behalf in Washington, D.C.
Rep. Michael Caron serves the 44th Assembly District of Killingly, Plainfield and Sterling in the state House of Representatives. He is a member of the legislature’s Energy and Technology Committee, the Finance Revenue and Bonding Committee, the Human Services Committee and the Transportation Committee.
