Michael Caron Secures $5,000 State Grant for Sterling |

STERLING—Plans to improve sidewalks in the Sterling and Oneco villages in the Town of Sterling received a boost with a state grant of $5,000 secured by state Rep. Michael Caron, R-44th District, Killing, Plainfield, Sterling, and the administration of Gov. M. Jodi Rell.
First Selectman Russell M. Gray, R, said, “We want to upgrade and repair the sidewalks in Sterling and Oneco villages and this grant will help cover some of the cost. This will be an improvement for the town, it will eliminate the chance of anyone tripping and falling, and it will look good.”
Rep. Caron said he had learned that funds may be available and contracted town officials to discuss their use in the town of Sterling.
Rep. Caron said, “It is a pleasure to announce this $5,000 grant to help with these sidewalk improvements to the town of Sterling. I am happy that these funds will help improve walking access in these parts of Sterling. Thanks to Governor Rell and her administration.”
Rep. Caron serves the 44th Assembly District of Killing, Plainfield and Sterling in the state House of Representatives.
