Belden Gives Update on East Village Road

HARTFORD – State Representative Dick Belden (R-Shelton) today issued an update on the State Department of Transportation reconstruction project on East Village Road in Shelton.

Belden stated that the Connecticut Department of Transportation has gone out to bid on the project, and that bids are expected back by August 22^nd, 2007.  Assuming the bids are acceptable a contract award is expected in the November, 2007 time frame, and the actual work then commence.

“This road reconstruction has been planned for many years and we are certainly very eager to see this project begun, and completed as quickly as possible,” said Belden.  “I will be in contact with officials at the Department of Transportation at every stage of this process, and will give further updates on the status of the project as they are available.”
