Mike Alberts Achieves Perfect 100% Voting Record for 2007 Legislative Session |

Woodstock State Legislator Was Present and Voting for All 420 Roll Call Votes Taken on the House Floor in Hartford, One of Only 14 Who Did Not Miss a Single Vote
State Representative Mike Alberts, R-50th District, Brooklyn, Eastford, Hampton, Pomfret and Woodstock, has compiled a perfect record for votes cast on the floor of the state House of Representatives during the 2007 legislative session, according to statistics provided by the House Clerk’s Office.
Representative Alberts was present and voting for all 420 roll call votes taken on the state House floor during 2007. He was one of only 14 of Connecticut’s 151 state representatives who had perfect records for floor votes during the session, according to the House Clerk’s Office.
“One of the most basic responsibilities state legislators have to the people we represent is to vote on measures that come before the state House for our consideration,” Representative Alberts said. “Even proposals that appear inconsequential and harmless sometimes can have unintended consequences that adversely affect our towns.”
“When a bill comes before us for a vote, we need to be there to question proponents of the legislation about its ramifications and its possible flaws – and to vote for or against it depending on how it will impact our constituents and our districts. If we do our jobs right, we can fix poorly crafted bills before they become law and not have to amend or repeal them later,” Representative Alberts said. “It is an awesome responsibility and one I take very seriously as northeastern Connecticut’s advocate in the state House.”
Representative Alberts serves the 50th Assembly District of Brooklyn, Eastford, Hampton, Pomfret and Woodstock in the state House of Representatives. He is the House Ranking Member of the legislature’s Veterans’ Affairs Committee, and a member of the Commerce Committee and the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee. Mike Alberts is a resident of Woodstock.
