Rep. Alberts Votes $3.5 Million for Eastern CT

 

State Rep. Michael Alberts, R-50th, Brooklyn, Eastford, Hampton, Pomfret and Woodstock, has voted to authorize about $3.5 million in funding for northeastern Connecticut programs and projects, under legislation adopted today by the state House and Senate.

The local project funding totals about $3.5 million and includes:

·        Grant-in-aid to the Quinebaug Valley Emergency Communications Center for land acquisition and construction not exceeding $2,950,000;

·        Grant-in-aid to the Quinebaug Shetucket Heritage Corridor, Inc.,  of Putnam for planning the completion of the Airline Trail not exceeding $100,000;

·        Grant-in-aid to nonprofit organizations including up to $439,020 to the Windham-Tolland 4-H Camp in Pomfret Center.

Rep. Alberts serves the 50th Assembly District of Brooklyn, Eastford, Hampton, Pomfret and Woodstock in the state House of Representatives.
