Rep. Alberts Named to Leadership Position on Veterans Committee

State Rep. Mike Alberts, R-50th, who is an Air Force veteran, has been appointed the ranking House member on the legislature’s Veterans’ Affairs Committee. House Republican Leader Lawrence F. Cafero, Jr., named him to the post.

Rep. Cafero said, “Mike Alberts is one of the hardest working and most conscientious members of the legislature. I am sure he will put his experience and talent to work for the benefit of all the veterans of the state.”

Rep. Alberts said, “It is an honor to be appointed to a leadership position on this important committee. I appreciate the opportunity to help improve the lives of Connecticut’s veterans, who have given so much to our nation and our state. I look forward to working with my colleagues of both parties to assist veterans, especially those with disabilities and other special needs.”

Rep. Alberts serves the 50th Assembly District of Brooklyn, Eastford, Hampton, Pomfret and Woodstock in the state House of Representatives.
