Representative Labriola and Southbury First Selectman Mark A. R. Cooper display an oversize check symbolizing the $220,000 Small Town Economic Assistance Program grant for Regional District 15 that will help finance a new concession stand and rest rooms at Pomperaug High School’s Edward Arum Athletic Field. The grant was announced on Monday, April 21, 2008 by Representative Labriola and other members of Middlebury and Southbury’s state legislative delegation.

Representative Labriola discusses Republican ethics reform proposals with state Representative John W. Hetherington, R-125th District, right. The reform measures were the subject of a news conference at the state capitol Monday (April 14, 2008). Representative Labriola and Representative Hetherington serve on the state legislature’s Government Administration and Elections Committee, where a bill similar to the Republican measure originated.

Labriola, presented Hollis with a citation from the Connecticut General Assembly recognizing him for achieving the Eagle Scout Award, the highest honor the Boy Scouts of America can bestow. The “personal qualities that have enabled [Hollis] to meet this goal will serve him well in his future endeavors,” the citation states.
