State Representative DebraLee Hovey, R-112th District, joins Governor M. Jodi Rell, Environmental Protection Commissioner Gina McCarthy and Newtown Conservation Official Rob Sibley at a recent ceremony announcing the award of a $157,500 Open Space Grant for Newtown.
State Representative DebraLee Hovey, R-112th District, joins Governor M. Jodi Rell, Environmental Protection Commissioner Gina McCarthy and Newtown Conservation Official Rob Sibley at a recent ceremony announcing the award of a $157,500 Open Space Grant for Newtown.  This grant helped the town acquire the 17-acre Laurel Trail Open Space Preserve and was one of 24 such awards announced. The announcement was made at the White Barn Theater property in Norwalk, one of the properties that received funding under the state’s Open Space program.
